We are very happy to share exciting news with you. Today, the InCycle team has released a SAFe report for TFS to help programs measure feature progress. But that is not it; we decided to make it available to the community --- for FREE!

Notably, the SAFe report is also referenced in Microsoft’s SAFe white paper (published on MSDN earlier today) that provides guidance to organizations that want to scale agile with TFS supported by the Scaled Agile Framework. We are also very proud to mention, Barry Paquet, InCycle’s Microsoft ALM practice director (West Coast) and SAFe Certified Consultant (or SPC), was also one of the contributors to the whitepaper. As to the report itself, congratulations go out to the extended team and especially Jean-Jacques Levesque and Martin Rajotte for their awesome work!

How Does the SAFe report for TFS Work?

The TFS report allows you to visualize feature completion status. As your team works on stories linked to features, a multi-color progress bar appears depicting a given feature's percent complete (i.e., feature story points remaining / total feature story points).

You can download the SAFe report for TFS now and the Microsoft whitepaper on SAFe. Finally, do not forget to read Barry’s article on scaling agile and SAFe metrics with TFS.
