Brian Harry has a massive blog post about everything announced today at //Build/. For those who haven't heard yet, I'll list some highlights, but I highly recommend going and reading Brian's blog. This is truly exciting stuff!

  • Visual Studio & Team Foundation Server 2015 Release Candidates are out -- production-supported!
  • Visual Studio & Team Foundation Server 2013 Update 5 Release Candidates are out -- also production-supported!
  • A new, lightweight cross-platform code editor called Visual Studio Code -- runs on OSX and Linux!
  • TFS 2015 will ship with the new "vNext" build system I talked about in a previous blog post
  • Release Management is going to get a huge overhaul, but not until TFS2015 Update 1

There were also a lot of really cool announcements about Windows 10 and HoloLens today, but those aren't ALM-related so I won't talk about those here.

And of course, feel free to contact us at InCycle if you want to be an early adopter and upgrade to TFS2015 RC and want our help! :)
