- [Visual Studio / TFS / Release Management 2013 Update 4 is out!](http://go.microsoft.com/?linkid=9842996)
- [Visual Studio 2015 Preview is available!](http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=44934). The .NET framework is also losing its traditional version number -- the next release of .NET will be .NET 2015, not .NET 4.6 or 5.0. This will help clear up the confusion between compiler version, framework version, and CLR version.
- [The .NET Framework is now open-source!](http://blogs.msdn.com/b/dotnet/archive/2014/11/12/net-core-is-open-source.aspx)
- [C# 6 / VB .NET 14 language features are finalized!](https://roslyn.codeplex.com/wikipage?title=Language%20Feature%20Status)
- Microsoft has released [Visual Studio 2013 Community Edition](http://www.visualstudio.com/products/visual-studio-community-vs), which is a full-featured, free version of Visual Studio. No more "Express for Web" or "Express for Desktop"!
