What is the Microsoft Solution Assessment Program?

The Microsoft Solution Assessment (formerly Cloud Economics) Program enables customer digital transformation at scale with a consistent “assess-to-migrate” methodology including a defined set of engagement opportunities. These assessments are delivered through a select group of top Microsoft partners. Notably, delivery partners must have a Microsoft gold competency and Advanced Specialization. InCycle is proud to be a recognized Solution Assessment delivery partner.

Engagements are coordinated between the customer, Microsoft (Solution Assessment Specialist & Microsoft Account Team), and an approved partner (e.g., InCycle). These assessments are flexible but specific to your cloud strategy and intention. Scopes are limited to the descriptions below. In general, they are designed to assist customers achieve the next step in their cloud adoption and digital transformation initiative. Funding value is usually between 5-20K, depending on size, scope and opportunity. Investment funds are limited and subject to change.

Azure Express

Azure Express provides high level customer inventory and broad Azure cost estimation based on customer performance data. Ideal customers are considering Azure and seeking cost estimates to support economic justification.

Azure Foundations Assessment

The Azure Foundations Assessment provides a broad review of the customer’s datacenter environment, cloud readiness, prioritization of migration workloads, cost consumption estimates and recommendations for Governance. In this instance, customers are generally committed to Azure but are seeking assistance to prioritize workloads, gather detailed cost estimates and overall TCO.

Azure Migration Engagement

The Azure Migration Engagement delivers an in-depth identification and analysis of a specific workload or set of applications for migration to Azure complete with cloud architecture design and migration plan. This offering is ideal for advanced customers that can pre-identify a scenario, workload, application, or subset of environment (DR, VDI, Dev/Test, Apps, WS/SQL EOS, etc.).

Azure Dpi30 Engagement

Designed for customers who wish to modernize their data estate, DPi30 is a streamlined engagement to help customers deploy and utilize Azure Data Services. Customer can pre-identify simple applications for modernization planning.

App Innovation Engagement

The Application Innovation Engagement delivers an in-depth identification and analysis of a specific application for migration to Azure complete with architecture design and migration plan. Customer desires to design and deploy a modern data platform in Azure.
